JOB DESCRIPTION
SHIPPING CLERK
The responsibility of the Shipping clerk is to instruct and paper out drivers for delivery as per shipping procedures, separate paperwork for filing, and audit all paperwork before releasing driver.
· Receive Tally sheets from Driver
· Count and verify Tally sheet then initial
· Audit Driver Info and match Tally totals with B/L and Delivery Receipt before breaking apart paperwork
· Break paperwork apart according to procedure
· Assist driver in determining on time delivery appt times
· After appt times are put on B/L give copy to driver
· Distribute paperwork with final instruction to driver
· Distribute balance of paperwork to respective file trays for further processing
· Issue appropriate Road permits based on where truck was loaded at.
· Assist Shipping office as needed
